Wide rack design allows for additional space beside the vertical mounting rails for passing cabling from front-to-back in the enclosure. Width is ideal for converged and hyperconverged IT which include a mix of server, storage, and network switches all in one rack. 48U height allows for an additional 6U of rack mounting space maximizing u-space per rack footprint.
