VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) promotes uniformity in the video electronics industry by developing industry-wide standards for products like flat-panel TVs and monitors. To comply with these standards, most manufacturers use a series of universal mounting hole patterns, measured in millimeters, on the backs of the products. Measure the vertical and horizontal distances between the holes on the back of your display or refer to your display's owner's manual to find its VESA pattern.
