Add Remote Monitoring of Environmental Conditions to Your LX Platform Device
Expand the monitoring capabilities of your LX Platform device to include conditions that can damage equipment and cause downtime. E2MTHDI environmental sensor module makes it possible to remotely monitor ambient temperature and humidity, as well as up to two dry contact connections, in network environments. The E2MTHDI works with PowerAlert Device Manager (available as a free download) and UPS systems and PDUs that have an LX Platform network card (WEBCARDLX, WEBCARDLXE, or WEBCARDLXS). Events are recorded in the event log of your device's PowerAlert Device Manager interface.
Know If Conditions Become Too Hot or Humid for Your Equipment
You can set your own values for maximum temperature and humidity levels in network closets, server rooms and data centers. If levels exceed set values, an event is recorded. Using this environment temperature sensor is a convenient way to keep equipment operating in optimal conditions around the clock without on-site personnel.
Remotely Monitor Dry Contact Connections to Avoid Surprises
Two dry contact inputs support up to 5V for monitoring open/closed connections. Use with SRSWITCH to know if a rack enclosure door has been opened or E2SLD to be alerted to a water leak on the floor. You can also use this sensor module with other dry contact devices, including smoke detectors, fire alarms and security systems.
Take Advantage of Convenient Installation Features and Daisy-Chain Capability
Dual magnets on the bottom of the housing allow mounting on most racks and cabinets. Built-in retention harnesses help secure cable connections, and cable channels along the bottom help reduce clutter. The included USB cable connects the E2MTHDI to your LX Platform device. Up to three E2 environmental sensors can be daisy-chained together to provide monitoring in different areas of a rack.
