The energy-efficient NG5POE-1 network switch connects up to five devices to a Gigabit Ethernet network and allows them to communicate with each other. It's recommended for your home network, small office, workgroup or creative production environment. It helps you share large bandwidth-intensive files, such as CAD drawings and videos, at Gigabit (1000 Mbps/1 Gbps) speeds, improving efficiency and cutting costly downtime.

Maximum Network Functionality

The NG5POE-1 features five twisted-pair RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports that support auto-negotiable 10/100/1000 Mbps and auto MDI/MDIX functionality, so crossover cables and uplink ports are not needed for connections to PCs, routers and other switches. No configuration is required, so you can have your Gigabit network up and running immediately. IEEE 802.3x flow control (full duplex), back pressure (half duplex) and 10 Gbps switching capacity (2 Gbps per port with full duplex) allow smooth transmission of large files.

Supports Power over Ethernet to Save You Money and Give You More Installation Choices

When you connect the PD port (Port 1) to a PoE-enabled, IEEE 802.3af/at-compliant PoE injector, midspan or switch, the NG5POE-1 draws power from that device to power itself and passes the available surplus power to up to four PoE edge devices, such as VoIP phones and security cameras, allowing you to realize the full potential of each of the power sourcing equipment (PSE) ports in your network. Four RJ45 ports support up to 30W each with a total PoE budget of 60W when using the included AC power adapter.

Complies with IEEE Energy Efficient Ethernet Standards

The NG5POE-1 supports IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standards by automatically shifting unused ports into a low-power state without interrupting network connections. It also meets IEEE 802.3ab, 802.3i and 802.3u standards.

Plug-and-Play Functionality for Easy Use

No configuration is required in setting up the unmanaged NG5POE-1, so you can have your 10/100/1000 Mbps network up and running immediately. Cat5/5e/6/6a UTP/STP cables (sold separately) provide optimal performance. Easy-to-read LEDs indicate connection and activity status for each port. The NG5POE-1 supports MAC address auto-learning and auto-aging for efficient routing.
