To make journeys to such dark-sky sites as convenient as possible we've coupled our new ED80T CF triplet refractor with the sturdy VersaGo II altazimuth mount for no-nonsense ease-of-use and exceptional portability. With the included 2" 26mm Q70 eyepiece and EZ Finder II reflex sight, you have a complete setup ready for extensive deep-sky viewing action. Amazingly, the entire set weighs a paltry 20 lbs. for easy transport to your favorite dark skies. The Grab-n-Go 80mm Triplet is also a great setup for a quick trip into the backyard when you want to observe, but would rather not drag out a heavier telescope.

The lightweight ED80T CF features an 80mm triplet objective utilizing FPL-53 extra-low dispersion (or "ED") glass for optimal visual performance virtually free of chromatic aberration. Views through the 80mm triplet will be true-color and exhibit superior resolution and sharpness. The ED80T CF sports a machined 2" dual-speed Crayford style focuser for precise focus adjustments and a 90° 2" mirror star diagonal is included for maximum light throughput to the wide-angle eyepiece so views of galaxies, nebulas, and star clusters appear bright and clear. The VersaGo II altazimuth mount provides a stable, yet relatively lightweight, platform for the ED80T CF. Adjustable tension knobs on both altitude and azimuth axes allow you to adjust the telescope's position easily with the panning handle for successful tracking of celestial objects as they appear to migrate across the night sky. The super-wide 70° field-of-view 26mm Q70 eyepiece delivers plenty of light to your eye so your views are expansive and contrast-rich. A step-down 2"-to-1.25" focuser adapter is standard, so this grab-n-go scope can accommodate all your 1.25" eyepieces and accessories as well.
